Cruise Guide : Mini Cruises

Mini Cruise Guide

It's a grueling week at work and the weekend is fast approaching, you are thinking of a better way to spend your weekend rather than staying at home and reading a mystery novel. Then let me suggest to you a Mini Cruise! This is not just any other cruise, it is a mini cruise to sail your tensions and frustrations away with the refreshing view of the sea, the fresh air, the new surroundings and the makings of a superb weekend getaway.

What are mini cruises and how are they different from the usual cruise people take? The answer lies in the longetivity of such cruises; they are designed for busy working people like you so you may enjoy a great weekend without having to feel guilty of taking too much time off from work.

Duration:
The duration of such mini cruises may be for 2-4 days and they do not last for more than 7 days, hence the term "mini". Mini cruises are just like your luxury cruises, everything luxurious, nice and relaxing in a regular cruise the abundance of facilities such as restaurants, entertainment galleries, disco, movies, good food, excellent destinations, new faces and of course total relaxation.

Destinations:
These cruises are terrific ways to drop in on that place you have always wanted to visit, you can go see the Bahamas, the Americas, the Greek Islands, Spain, or any destination of choice - these mini cruises are good ways to be pampered, to socialize, to relax, to enjoy peacefulness and to simply have a good time this weekend rather than staying home and reading a novel.

When to go:
One of the best times to go on to hop on to a mini cruise is during the end or start of each season such as spring and autumn. Most mini cruises are only offered during theses seasons and may not be available all throughout the year. The only destinations where mini cruises are available the whole year round are the cruises bound for the Mediterranean and Cyprus.

A tip before deciding to go on a mini cruise is to book yourselves in advance as these cruises are easily filled up. You may want to contact a booking agent or a travel agent to secure your slot in the cruise of your choice.

Enjoy!
There are also a variety of ways on how to enjoy your cruises more. You can predetermine what your main agenda is for booking your mini cruise; you can use your cruise to relax, to take a breath of fresh air, to visit a new place or to meet people. When you can determine your motive for taking on that cruise, you can pursue that goal and feel accomplished at the end of your travel.

Tip:
Do not attempt to do everything at once as you may just feel more exhausted than you first embarked on the cruise ship. Another piece of advice is to pack light as the cruise will only take a couple of days. You may only pack what you need such as swimsuits, some casual clothes, some evening and cocktail dresses and the like. You should also be aware that when you are taking a cruise bound for the Americas or American Cruses, the atmosphere and the dressing always borders on the casual side but if you would like to dress up during these cruises you are most welcome to do so.

Mini Cruises are indeed ideal especially for people who can only spare a weekend break to relax and enjoy. It is also ideal for people with motion sickness as the amount of time at sea is just a short time as compared with the regular cruise. So if you would like to enjoy a short break at sea, take on a mini cruise and reenergize, refresh and revive yourself - and yes, you should take it this weekend cruise and drop that novel you are reading, don on that swimsuit and let's go!
