Anchorage Cruise Information

General...
Welcome to the wonderful city of Anchorage, Alaska, which is located on Cooks Inlet in South-central Alaska. This jewel of a city in the heart of the wilderness has many things to offer anyone that enters it doors. When you enter Anchorage from your cruise ship you will be delighted at the sights it has to offer.

Nature’s Wonderland...

For the outdoor enthusiast, Anchorage is a nature lover’s dream. It is the only place in the US where you are guaranteed to be satisfied after seeing the wilderness and the wildlife you will find there in abundance, such as moose, bears, caribou, dall sheep and the list goes on. This is only the land wildlife.

Then, there are the beautiful sights you will see from underneath the ocean, which is covered in its watery blanket such as whales, seals, porpoise, stellar sea loins, puffins and so to this list goes on. For the birdwatchers on holiday, Anchorage is a total paradise.

Sightseeing...
The nature alone in this heaven of a city and its surroundings is unbelievable. When Mother Nature made her appearance in this part of the world, she was more than generous in dressing it up and everywhere you look it shows. From its snow-capped mountains to its wild Pacific Ocean, it is beauty at its best. This is paired with an independent and pioneering people and a unique culture and heritage that shows in the very heart of this city.

In Anchorage you can have it all. Stroll down the streets of Anchorage and see the many beautiful buildings. Stroll through the natural beautiful parks and take the time to commune with nature at it’s finest. Kayak on the many lakes that lie between the low valleys where the water looks like glass itself.

Dining...
There are many things to do in this place called Anchorage when you come off your cruise liner. You’ll have a wide variety of restaurants and dining areas to choose from on your visit. Of course, you will just have to put up with the tummy tickling, mouth-watering seafood that you will find served in many of the dining rooms. After a meal that will leave you with a smile on your face, you can hit the many shopping malls and stores that dot the city, where you will find from your everyday needs to the beautiful native crafts.

There are so many things to see and do in this great city that you won’t be able to cover it all in one visit. So you’ll just have to make plans to sail into Anchorage again in the very near future.
