The Caribbean....
Enjoy the balmy temperatures and fascinating sights of a Caribbean cruise. Depart from Fort Lauderdale, where you can spend a day or two exploring this city, if you wish. All of the islands that you visit on this cruise will provide you with an exquisite look at life in this scenic part of the world. While some of these islands do not offer a lot of sightseeing or attractions, you do get a chance to immerse yourself in a different culture.

Places to Visit...
Some of the popular destinations on a Caribbean cruise include stops in St. Croix, At Maartens, Martinque, Barbados and both the US and the British Virgin Islands. The sight and sounds of the island life is very exciting. The colourful houses, quaint little villages and museums will give you a glimpse of what life used to be like in this idyllic paradise.

The history of these islands is frought with turmoil as the Spaniards who came here first made slaves of the natives. There are many monuments of the freedom fighters and forts for you to explore. See the working banana, coffee and tobacco plantations and take a tour of ruins that are a testimony to the past.

Shopping...
Most of the islands offer duty free shopping, since each one of them is a different country. Some of the islands are colonies of European countries and the items here are the same ones you can buy in those parts of Europe. For example, you can buy French perfumes in Martinque and lace from the Netherlands in St. Maartens. From quaint roadside stralls to elaborate shopping malls, you will never tire of shopping when you take a land excursion in your port of call.

Activities...
The Caribbean is known for its white sandy beaches that go on for miles. Lie in the sun or take part in one of the many different watersports. Most of the island offer exceptional diving to see the world beneath the sea or the many shipwrecks that lie on the ocean floor.

Hike to the top of high mountains to view the panoramic scene below or stroll through lush rainforests. See extinct volcanoes and beaches of volcanic ash. The sights of brightly colored houses and the colourful clothes will make you wish you could stay in the tropical land of enchantment.

Go deep sea fishing, play golf or simply stroll through the towns taking in the sights. Experience the local culture and taste the local cuisine. All this and more awaits you when you take a Caribbean cruise.
