Culture in Cairo...
There are a few things about Egypt that one should know in order to respect their culture and traditions. If you are entering one of their beautiful churches or mosques, you are required to have your hair covered and dress modestly. Other than that you won’t need much heavy clothing in Cairo as the temperatures there are very hot, although they are milder in winter.

The Pyramids...
One of the first things on your agenda should be visiting the Pyramids of Giza. This will be an unforgettable experience. They hold the bodies of Egypt’s great kings. Marvel at how two million blocks of stone were used to build the Great Pyramid without the use of modern equipment. Then there is the Second Pyramid. This belonged to Khufu and you can still see the remains of Khafre’s mortuary temple today. Visit the Third Pyramid, which was built by Menkaure. This is a smaller one, but you can still see that part of it still retains the granite slab covering.

More Sightseeing...
Then there are the Solar Boats of Khufu, where the Ancient Ones carved a space in the rock near the Pyramids. Here they placed the wooden boats to be at the disposal of their king and help him to the afterlife. Then, of course there is the Sphinx, which is known all over the world. This large statue lies on the way to the Temple of the Valley and is an awesome sight to see.
