I was not excited about this trip. I had not read that many good reviews and didn\'t think the NCL Linke compared to other cruise lines I have used. I was wrong. Embarkation was the easiest I have experienced on any cruise line. Lines went quickly staff was alert, luggage was soon delivered.
Food was good and sometimes better than other lines. We did eat at the specialty restaurants many nights but they were worth more than we had to pay as a surcharge. I cannot say enough about the wonderful food service we received. Only bad experiecne was the Japaneese Steakhouse. Not enough food and we discovered we didn\'t care for much of it. The dining room was just as good as other cruise lines. The buffet was probably not my favorite but it was okay. The children enjoyed it.
We didn\'t use the childresn\'t program. We were too busy exploring the islands.
In fact we didn\'t see all the entertainment either we were always on the go. I did miss the casino experience. I am sure I saved myself money by not having one but it was strange not having a casino onboard. What entertainment we did see was on par with other cruise ships.
I did feel that the room attendants were just okay. They could have been better at cleaning the rooms.

My biggest complaint came when I heard my attendent bad mouthing us for smoking. We had a balcony room and smoked outside bet we were imformed by our lady attendant it still stunk. I would book a NCL cruise after completing this trip. Of course Hawaii had a lot to do with my love of this cruise.
