Detailed Review
Hi ALL, Back from a 38 night cruise on the ARTEMIS and its not a ship I will go on a gain, it is passed it sell by date but the Captain say another 10-15 years left in her. Can not find a good seat on the ship and public rooms and shows not enough seats, and I think P & o are going down as the cuts they make now. But I look forward to another cruise.

We had a 38 night cruise from UK to Amazon and back to UK. The ship I was told was going for a refit next year, Its just had the branding Princess taken off and Artemis P&O put in it place, We were on C deck and the rust around the windows was bad, if you did not get to the show early seats were taken as it is small and lots of places no views for the post. But he shows by the ship company was good but the other act were old and most came out of retirement???. We were short of deck chairs but took some on the way. Could not find any chairs good to sit in due to low backs. The food was cooked well but choice was not the best on some nights, lamb 3 night per week. The people with me was on the ships first cruise 20 years ago when it was the Princess Royal and it was a very nice ship when built but after on larger ships I found I did not like this one. Phone calls from ship to shore was £4.25 a min. but did come down when no one used it and the internet was dear, £3.00 to send a email. Drink was as P&O £3.00-4.00 for Drink of the Day. So people had new baths and they were not the same an old one so you could see where the were fitted. Our TV was very old and not good but did change it for a new one after a few days. All crew and staff were good and our cabin boy was very good. 90% of all workers were from India. Our Captain got off and has gone back to Princess. We had a group called Sunshine Band and they were good for dancing but we found times could have been better as we left show to go to dance they took their break. I guess you see these are small things and this was our 9th cruise. I think you will like it and have a look at a few photos I took on.... http://community.webshots.com/user/jamesraymondcox
