Welcome to Neil Connell's review of the Celebrity Cruise Lines, Constellation. ReviewThatCruise.com is first for Constellation Reviews & Constellation ship reviews.
The ship itself is smart and well kept. To my mind public areas lacked a homely feel to them. Food quality around the ship is of good; there is a sushi available each evening.
The main let down on this trip was Celebrity\'s inexplicable inability to take us to our first two ports of call, Edinburgh and Inverness. Instead we were delivered to South Queensferry and Invergordon. No transportation was offered to the actual advertised ports of call. This we (and many other passengers) found unbelievable and of course annoying. Celebrity will have lost many customers due to this severe lack of organisation.
The \'production\' shows are well worth seeing and they had an excellent \'comedy magician\' on board.
Service from our waiter and cabin attendant was very efficient but we found it inappropriate that they should insist that we gave them top marks on the \'customer feedback\' form. Celebrity clearly use the stick rather than the carrot in motivating their staff.
Positives
Food quality and service in the restaurant was good.
Quality entertainment.
Negatives
Service in public areas was lacking.
Lack of any shuttle bus service into the first two ports.
