Welcome to Susan Bensinger's review of the Carnival Cruise Lines, Carnival Pride. ReviewThatCruise.com is first for Carnival Pride Reviews & Carnival Pride ship reviews.
This was my first cruise. it was a horrible experience. There was only one dinning room that we could eat at and the food was never hot. Even after complaining. I ordered soup every night just to get something hot in my stomach. the only other place to eat on ship was a buffet area and of course, the food there was never hot either but; that is not surprising for a buffet. but, I did expect hot food in the dinning room. When i booked the cruise I was very explilciet in stating we needed an elec outlet between the beds in that my daughter had a CPAP machine ( medical equip). when we got there there was no useable outlet. they had to bring in this HUGE outdoor size extension and had to make it go across the entire state room. if definately provoked a safety hazzard. The crew was mercilous in pushing alcohol we counted at least 29 crew members who approached us right after we got onboard the ship. I am a social drinker but, they way they pushed it was a real turn off. It took two and half days to get from baltimore to florida. way to long. on return trip from freeport bahamas to baltimore it was less than 24hrs.
the fees they charged for internet where also rediculous. 100 dollars for 240 minutes. If one is A corporate execuative like I am and need access to computer this was extemely upsetting. If I ever do decide to take another cruise it won\'t be on any of the carnival ships. for a first cruise it was very upsetting
Positives
the ports we visited were beautiful; atlantis and freeport. although only short time in freeport
