Poor quality, service, food, and organization. Wow, I have never written a bad review before but since this cruise was so horrible I felt it was my duty. 1st day my cabin stewart walked into my room without permission! I yelled for him to leave then called the front desk to report this and to find out why he would do such a thing. The front desk person stated that he may have just wanted to welcome me aboard. I said \"By walking into my room?\" I thought maybe he might have had my luggage or something important but when I confronted him in the hallway later that day, he said nothing of it until I asked him. Then he just apologized. Front desk never returned my call I\'m sure because they never looked into it. 2 hours before our scheduled arrival to Juneau the captain announced we we\'re 4 hours behind schedule. Everyone scurried to the shore excursion desk only to have them reassure us that our tour guides have been notified of our late arrival and not to worry. 2 hours before actually arriving into Juneau the captain made another anouncement that all tours involving water activity was perm canc. Unfortunately, that was what we signed up for and it was too late to sign up for anything else. Late arrival to Canada as well leaving us only 1 1/2 hours from 1030pm to 1200am to tour the city. Nothing was open execpt for nightclubs. Also, we learned of our late arrival approx 2 hours before our scheduled time to arrive. Disembarking during our stops was a complete chaotic mess. No crew to organize lines or to direct passengers. Passengers lined the hallways like cattle. 1st time cruisers didn\'t know to have their room key ready so this process took a very long time. I\'ve never seen such disorganization before. Dinner on the Lido buffet was horrible. One side was sectioned off for ship crew only! Leaving the other side to accomodate 3,000 passengers! This is outrageous! We paid for the cruise yet the crew gets their own dining buffet and seating in our area. Keep in mind, they have dining facilities of their own on their deck along with a bar, swimming pool and fitness center and lounge! Room service took over an hour although they say it will be 30-45 mins. Food was horrible everywhere except for the outside grill. We didn\'t try the Pinnacle Grill but I did hear the food there was good. They had kareoke contest which was set up with 3 judges who actually judged and criticized the contestants! It\'s kareoke for goodness sake. The staff with a few and I mean few exceptions seemed annoyed with any request. We chose Holland America because their advertisements convinced us they were a step above the rest and since they were just a little priceer we went with the thought \"You get what you pay for\" Were we ever bamboozled.
