Adventure of the Seas Description

Adventure of the Seas

If new adventures and surprises are what you’re looking for then look no further than Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas. Designed to attract new sailors and keep the old ones coming back, Adventure of the Seas is bigger and better than ever. With its distinctly designed themed rooms this ship has the potential to spoil everyone who is willing to take the adventure of a lifetime. This cruise ship is designed for everyone, however, passengers range in age from thirty-five to fifty-five. It offers great options for groups of many ages. Dress on the Adventures is casual. However, there are two formal nights for guests wishing to dress-up. There are several other themed nights, which allow the guests to step out of their shell and dress up in country-western gear and the like.

Accommodations

With more than nine hundred outside rooms, you won’t have to worry about being cramped inside these cabins. If you are looking for privacy however, it is best to stay away from the outside rooms with balconies as there is often some late night partying, people often find these rooms can get quite noisy. All cabins come with a convertible bed that can be transformed from a twin to a queen in seconds. Each room is decorated in relaxing Caribbean colors to keep their guests feeling comfortable and cozy. In addition to feeling comfortable in your room, you also get a private phone, television and bathroom.

Dining

This ship comes equipped with three dining rooms, which are open for breakfast and lunch. In addition to this, passengers can take advantage of the 24-7 café Café Promenade, which is always consistent and well prepared. For those looking for light meals and who wish to avoid the main dining room, they may visit the Windjammer dining room, which offers light breakfast and lunch meals. However, the Windjammer does offer some of the same menu selections as the main dining room, just less formal.

If you don’t feel like doing to the dining room at all you may wish to visit one of the various eateries aboard Adventures of the Sea. These specialty eateries offer guests a different menu, however they do ask guests to pay a small cover charge of $3.95 per person. This applies to all passengers wishing to dine in or eat out.

The Adventures offers its guests a wide array of dining options, one of which is a specialty restaurant. This Italian-themed restaurant has also added a slightly higher cover charge of $20.00 per person. In this restaurant passengers can feel assured that they are getting their monies worth as they are offered a seven-course meal. The one drawback to this dining option is that the menu rarely changes and passengers are limited to what they can eat each night. This does not detract from the popularity of the restaurant however, as people are often turned away due to lack of room.

Entertainment

Entertainment aboard Adventures of the Sea comes in two packages. There is the more traditional type of entertainment such as signing and dancing, and for those more goofy passengers there are various games as activities such as the Newlywed Game and so on. There are some options for those wishes to sit back and relax as movies are offered in the Lyric Theatre on a regular basis. For those wishing to step out and do some dancing, the bar venues offer some excellent entertainment options on a daily basis.

Adventures of the Sea is a ship that prides itself on its entertainment value and it has therefore added many features that you will not find on just any ship. For starters, they have added an ice rink. People often think that skating on cold ice is not the way they want to spend their vacation, but Adventures has spiced things up and is equipped with hot ice. You can take part in a winter activity and feel like you’re in the middle of the summer. If you wish to go ice skating however, you must make sure that you have your tickets as this venue is small and it sells out fast.

If you like street performers than you will love the Royal Promenade players. These performers just wander around and entertain passengers all day long.

There is an Internet café for those wishing to keep in contact with the rest of the world. Here users will pay fifty cents a minute to use the computers and Internet services offered aboard Adventure of the Seas. If you have come prepared with your computer, you have the option of paying an additional $100 to have Internet service in the comfort of your own cabin.

There is always plenty to do on Adventure of the Seas. Passengers are welcome to use all fitness and recreational equipment free of charge. This means that if you want to go ice-skating or swimming in the pool, you do not have to worry about dishing out additional money each time.

While the ship is geared toward adult entertainment there are many options for children of all ages. There are daytime activities for the children to take part. In addition to all the fun activities, Adventure of the Seas also provides children’s menu at all restaurants and eateries. While on Adventure of the Seas you don’t have to worry about who is taking care of your children. This ship offers passengers the advantage of having on board baby-sitters. Of course, this service does not come free of charge. The cost of having an in-cabin babysitter is $8.00 and hour. Group sittings are somewhat cheaper.
