Aurora joined the P&O cruise lines in 2000. This 76,000 ton ship carries 1900 passengers and a crew of 900. It can sail you into the trip of your dreams and is waiting to do so. Aurora has something for everyone and is waiting to show you just what it has to offer. From swimming pools to shopping, this ship has it all. The size of the ship can get into harbors and ports where larger ships can\'t go so it will take you on a cruise that can only be experienced in a smaller ship. You can choose from 939 cabins with each one having its own uniqueness. This ship is totally organized and you will find checking in is smooth and easy.
Accommodation
The cabins on the ship are very impressive. The average mini suite measures approximately 350 ft.². They hold a massive king size bed which is made from two singles. The bathrooms have Jacuzzi baths and two basins and the lounge area has a dining room table that is inserted into a desk area. The balconies are very comfortable and they can hold two chairs and a lounger. Some of the suites offer complementary chocolates, flowers and champagne when you come aboard.
Dining
The main dining room on this ship is the Alexandria. You will be impressed with the wonderful decor that is used in this restaurant. The food on the menu is well varied with a good selection and as well the service is impeccable and the drinks are reasonably priced. There is designated seating at dinner where you may be placed at a table that seats four to eight people. Although there are some tables for two, they are very limited and need to be booked in advance. You can have breakfast or lunch at the Medina or at the Orangery, which serves a buffet.
Entertainment
This ship boasts a gym that is well equipped and very bright and you will find that there is also a gym instructor. The Spa is excellent and very reasonably priced. There is a theater that puts on a show with young dancers and singers who have tons of energy and a good singing and dancing director. You will find this very entertaining and enjoyable but if you want an evening with a bit of different entertainment, then drop by the casino, where you can enjoy playing at the tables or the many slot machines that are offered there.
This ship is well-organized and maintained and can give you a cruise that you will talk about long after you return home. Even though it\'s a smaller ship it has all the amenities that you will find on the larger ships so sail off to your dream vacation and enjoy every minute you spend there.
