Carnival Conquest Description

Carnival Conquest

Take a cruise on the wild side with a voyage on the Carnival Conquest. Built and launched in 2003, this “City at sea” has everything you need for the vacation of a lifetime. Cruise the western Caribbean and take advantage of the facilities for both children and adults. This enables you to have a true family experience. The atmosphere onboard is one of playfulness for its 3000 passengers of all ages.

Accommodations

Carnival Conquest boasts 52 balcony suites, 504 staterooms with an oceanview balcony, 361 staterooms without a balcony and 570 inside staterooms. Although only the suites have bathtubs, all the bathrooms are very comfortable. They contain the usual list of amenities, but there are replenished once they are depleted on the trip. You do not have to worry about not having space to store your clothing as there is ample storage space with closets, shelves and drawers. Pay per view movies are available on the TVs in the staterooms and on times, you may be able to tune into ABC, CBS or NBC. If you are a light sleeper, it is advisable to book a cabin away from the elevators and the pool area, as sound tends to travel on this ship.

Entertainment

There is something to suit every taste in music on the Conquest from country music to Caribbean bands playing on the pool deck. Art auctions, ballroom dancing and bingo are just a few of the man y activities that you can take part in. The fitness room is well-stocked with weight machines and there is a large workout area. If you wish to take classes, though, you will have to pay a fee. Men and women have separate sauna and steam rooms, but the Conquest is the first of the Carnival ships to offer a couples’ massage room and a dry float bed for body wraps. A large pool deck means there is room for everyone on the many levels.

Dining

The variety of dining options is just one of the reasons why the Conquest is such a popular cruise ship. The Monet and the Renoir are the formal dining rooms, with four sittings for dinner. With open seating, you are free to choose your dining companions. The choices on the menu are quite interesting, such as quail, and the staff do not have a problem with giving you an extra helping. With the numerous coffee bars and lunch options, you don’t have to leave the pool deck to eat during the day. Grill stations serve burgers and fries, but you can also choose Asian cuisine, seafood and pizza. Try the specialty coffees on the Promenade Deck during the day or the sushi at night.

Public Rooms

Try your luck at the casino on Deck 5 or dance the night away in a disco bar. Relax to the strains of a piano or enjoy duty-free shopping. The main lounge for performances is the Moulin Rouge Toulouse Latrec and is one of the busiest places on the ship both night and day. The 24-hour Internet café is tucked away, which is why it is never crowded, so for a small fee you can still keep in touch with home.
