The Century made her debut in 1995 and for a cruise of a life time she waits for you to bring you to your dream vacation. The Century offers elegance and refinement without losing the feeling of fun and that is just what you’re in store for as you leave your port of departure on this beautiful cruise. The origin of this wonder is the Bahamas, but get ready to be taken to many different ports of call when you board this liner. Each of the 10 passenger decks that this ship carries holds a new experience as you explore them. 858 crew members await to pamper you and see to your every need from the time you board to the time you disembark. This ship has everything you want and more. You will find loads of entertainment day or night time. During the day enjoy the pool, spa, fitness centre, jogging track, steam room, Jacuzzi, cardio equipment, water sports, and many more amenities offered for your comfort. If you bring the children, then you can relax and enjoy yourself while they keep busy in the outdoor play centre, or take advantage of a babysitter for those special occasions.
Accommodations
Settle yourself into one of the 889 cabins with impeccable décor and chose from the 61 cabins with balconies or the rest with beautiful ocean views. There are also 321 inside cabins. All cabins have a very comfortable space which measures from 313 to 1219 square feet with the inside rooms measuring a comfortable 172 square feet. All the rooms are pleasant and airy whether you’re inside or out. Even the smaller cabins have a large amount of storage space to store a week’s clothing. You won’t find any staterooms with obstructed views on the Century. All rooms have 24 hour room service and you can order from the dining room menu during dining room hours. Eight staterooms are handicapped accessible and all rooms have amenities such as toiletries, hair dryers, interactive TV systems, VCR’s, phone with voice message, mini bar and a safe.
Dining
You are in for treat onto itself when it comes to dining on the Century with a menu designed by Michel Roux. There is something there for those of you who want to indulge in the forbidden foods or if you want to keep diet in mind then you will also find a wonderful selection of salads and health food that is served. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that most of the foods are cooked to order. There is a very good array for the kids with the menu just for them. For those of you that enjoy not so formal dining, you will be delighted with The Island Café or The Grill. Here you will find all those goodies such as burgers, hotdogs, fries and other delectable foods. The Grill also serves a more casual sit down dinner, but you have to make reservations for this.
Entertainment
Century boasts two main show lounges that would outdo any in style and taste. In these lounges you will find private boxes that remind you of an opera house. There are live acts such as comedians, pianists, singers, and a wonderful String Quartet that plays classical music for those of you that enjoy the finer things in life. For those of you that want to take a stroll with lady luck, you can try the Fortunes Casino or stay in your cabin and do a little gambling through an interactive TV. No matter how you decide to pass the time on board, you will surely find something to keep you occupied. However, with the many destinations that this ship has in store, you probably won’t need to worry about what you do on board. You will be so tired after your days of tours.
