This ship has undergone a facelift and what a change it has made. You will notice this change as soon as you step on board in the murals on the wall and the new flat screen TV’s found throughout the ship and this is just for starters. This wonderful ship is awaiting your arrival to sail into the sunset and into the cruise of your dreams. This is a well maintained vessel and is perfect for family vacations. If your wanting a lively active cruise with plenty of nightlife then this is the right ship. You will love the New York City theme that runs throughout the public rooms. This cruise ship appeals to the young at heart no matter what the age who like a good time with lots of laughs tucked in between.
Accommodations
All accommodations are more than suitable starting with the standard ocean view cabins which measure 190 square feet. Most cabins feature twin beds that turn into a wonderfully comfortable queen bed when necessary. New flat screen TV’s can be found in all the rooms. Ocean view cabins and higher have bathrobes provided, but you will have to bring your own hair dryer. Only the top priced ones have verandas, but there are lots of amenities included with all of them.
You can also book triple or quad accommodations, which is terrific if your traveling in a group, but make sure you book early as they are very popular and go quickly. There are 20 cabins that are handicap-accessible. Closet and drawer space is standard, there is a safe in each cabin and you will even find washers and dryers on this ship.
Dining
Ecstasy offers two main dining rooms which are the Wind Star and the Wind Song. Here you can delight your taste buds to fabulous foods arranged by chef Georges Blanc. If you are counting calories, you won’t have to sacrifice taste for pounds and If you are a vegetarian, you can have choose from specific menus.
The Panorama Bar and Grill serves a breakfast and lunch and there is a 24 hour pizzeria. Ice cream, yoghurt and deli sandwiches are also available. A children’s menu is always available for the kids with chicken fingers, pizza and burgers. The service is excellent in all places as is the food. The dining times are very flexible with dinner starting at 5:30 and continuing through the evening. The two dining rooms seat 650 passengers and you can choose a table for two, four, six, or eight. He late night buffets are very popular with passengers that like to eat at a later time.
Entertainment
On this ship there is a very varied amount of entertainment ranging from classical music to X-rated comedy. It also boasts outstanding stage productions such as real Las Vegas style revues. For example, at Xtreme Country, which is the name of a western themed show, is loud, colourful and very dynamic. Stripes Dance Club is a wild and crazy place to spend an evening, Chinatown features music and the Crystal Palace casino is the hottest spot on the ship.
The Blue Sapphire Lounge will offer you a beautiful elegant showroom where the best of productions are played. The Neon offers sing along and Karaoke to make your trip a very special one.
This ship has three pools including a wading pool for children. At the main pool you will find live music as well as food. The spa offers whirlpools and staterooms, which are separate for privacy. There is also a nine hole mini golf course and a golf pro onboard. There are super programs for kids and there are programs for the whole family all day long.
The dress code is casual but if you do attend a formal night a tux is not required. Tips of $10.00 per person per day takes care of any tipping on this trip except the 15 per cent that will be added to all drink bills.
