Fantasy Description

Fantasy

If you have been on the sister ships of Carnival Cruise Lines, you would think that they are all the same. However, this is far from the truth and you are in for a delightful surprise when you go onboard the Fantasy. The décor on this ship is calm and sedate, which shows the major overhaul this ship went through. It adds a elegance that was not present before. It looks so new that it’s hard to believe this ship is 16 years old. She carries 2057 passengers and is waiting to sail you to the islands of your dreams for an unforgettable journey.

Accommodations

On the Fantasy you will find five different types of cabins to choose from which will make it easy on your taste and your pocket book. They are inside, outside, outside with portholes, Suites and Deluxe Suites. The Suites have verandas as well as the deluxe Suites. Both have whirlpools, expanded living space and they all have marble and wood décor.

The suites have small balconies, while the deluxe have much larger ones. During the renovation the staterooms were improved greatly. They are furnished with a desk, drawers, and closets with ample space in all, and a TV, which makes the rooms very elegant and as good as any four star hotel.

Dining

The Jubilee offers four dining room times in the evening which makes it convenient for a lot of people. There are not enough good things to be said for the dining on this ship. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and selections range from spicy Currie to vegetarian. If you don’t want to dine formally, then you can dine at the casual Lido Café, which turns into the Bistro during the evening meals.

Breakfast and lunch are open seating in the main dining rooms, but you can visit the Windows on the Sea, which has different stations for menu choices. At lunch, you will find one station that is dedicated to international food. There is also a 24 hour room service that offers a very good selection of salads and sandwiches.

Entertainment

Whether you’re looking for snazzy, jazzy or colourful, you will find it all on this ship. From production shows at the Universal Lounge, a calypso band at pool side or rockin’ country music at the Casino Bar, it is all here waiting for you to enjoy. A lot of the fun on this ship requires the participation of the guests. From a hairy chest contest to a passenger talent show, it is all a barrel of fun. There are many activities that the whole family can take part in including the kids. You will also find all the standard games and contests that you expect on a cruise ship.

Spa Carnival also got a face lift, with its new equipment and its high tech work out gear. There is a beauty salon, steam baths, whirlpools so you can stay slim and trim as you sail along. You will also enjoy the nine hole golf course that you’ll find here or the jogging track on the Veranda Deck. Children are top on the list for the crew of Fantasy. There are many programs run for the kids during the day and some at evening. One of the swimming pools has waterslides that the kids would really enjoy.

The dress code is formal for each of the four out of five nights on this cruise. Otherwise dress is casual during the day. There is a $10.00 basic tip, but this does not include the Maitre d’. You will find that an envelope brought to your room on the last day where you can place for the tip for him.
