Fascination Description

Fascination

The Fascination is one ship that screams parties and good times. The days of T shirt and jean clad crowds are gone and now the biggest percentage of Fascinations passengers are honeymooners, families, singles and veteran travelers. All are on their way to an unforgettable experience in cruising onboard this ship. You will find a wonderful selection of accommodations as well as spa facilities. The cabins are large and the staff also runs great programs for kids.

Accommodations

The standard cabins measure 185 square feet and have a queen size bed that can be turned into two twin beds when necessary. There is individual lighting by each bed. In the outside cabins, bathrobes are included. In all cabins you will find safes, satellite television, and the standard amenities that are found on any cruise ship. There are no hair dryers provided, so you’ll have to bring your own.

Suites and Demi-suites offer verandas and there are 20 cabins equipped for the handicapped. Chose your cabins well as six of the cabins on the veranda Deck have partially obstructed views. There is ample closet and drawer space in each room and you’ll find the furnishings simple and uncluttered.

Dining

The two main dining rooms are Sensation and Imagination. You will find the food just as exquisite as those that serve it. Seating ranges from booths of four to tables of ten. The Coconut Grove Bar and Grill on the Lido Deck serves breakfast lunch and dinner and the same dinner that is served in the two main dining rooms is also served here.

Look for the Nautical Spa menu for those that are vegetarian and those that want to stick to their diet. Special diets are served if you give advance notice. Midnight buffets are really popular and you will find the food and service superb.

Entertainment

You can see Vegas type revues on a nightly basis at the Palace Lounge. This is a state of the art theatre, which provides laser lights and special effects. Another alternative for an evening’s entertainment is the Casino Royal, where even if you lose you will leave a winner with the good time you will have. Here there is a variety of tables along with many slot machines. The most popular place on the ship is called 88 and this is a place that you don’t want to miss where you can sing along with the piano music. The Diamonds are Forever Dance Club is the place to be if you want to dance the night away and the Puttin’ on the Ritz Lounge is another very popular place.

The large pool on the Lido Deck also comes with a live band and the Nautica Spa will give you what you need in rest and relaxation. With 20,000 square feet you will have lots of room to stretch and flex your muscles. There is also a fitness centre that carries the latest equipment for exercising. If you like jogging, try some laps on the jogging track and with six whirlpools you can ease your aching muscles. The kids will really enjoy Camp Carnival with the games, contests and programs that are run there for them. There is also babysitting available for those that need it.

The dress code is casual with one formal night where you get to dress up, but a tux is not mandatory for this - a suit and tie will do the job. The tip is $10.00 per person per day and this applies to everybody, except when you order drinks in a bar where you’ll find them included in your bar bill.
