Holiday Description

Holiday

Step aboard to the trip of your dreams and let Holiday take you there. Whether it’s you alone, with a partner or with the whole family, this is the ship that will give you an unforgettable cruise. There are many satisfied passengers that will verify this. Holiday received a face lift in 2005 and is ready to make your dreams come true in the most exciting way. The theme of the rooms is whimsical. There are 726 cabins onboard and out of these there are 10 Suites with balconies, which should satisfy anyone’s taste or budget.

Accommodations

All the cabins on Holiday are basically the same with exception of the 10 Suites, which have verandas and whirlpools where all other cabins have showers. Although robes are not provided you will find lots of bathroom goodies provided in a basket of each bathroom. Most cabins have twin beds that can convert to a king if necessary. You will also find the Carnival Comfort Bed sleep system on this ship, which will make your nights so much more comfortable and duvets cover the bed to make it very cosy.

There are TV’s in each room with a great selection of channels if you get the time to watch TV. There is one drawback with these cabins and that is they are not soundproof and noise travels easily in any direction.

Dining

The dining on this ship will delight you with ingredient quality, imaginative recipes, and the proficient preparation and presentation. You will have one starter course, a main meal and dessert each evening arranged by renowned chef Georges Blanc. The meals are just as exciting as the trip itself and you can put together vegetarian meals by choosing from the menu.

The Seven Seas and the Four Winds offer the traditional assigned seating. The seating areas are divided by glass, which gives a more intimate feeling when your dining. The lunches served in these dining rooms are aimed at the low carbs and low fat diets, which would be a nice surprise for those that want to stick to their diet.

The Wharf Grill serves breakfast, lunch and in the evening, a buffet style meal on the Lido Deck, if you’re looking for a more informal dining experience. There are sandwich and salad stations open during lunch, as well as 24 hour room service.

Entertainment

You will not be bored with the list of entertainment available on this ship. There are daily activities such as bingo, hairy chest contests, knobby knees contests, horse races, art auctions and the list goes on to provide days filled with fun for the whole family.

Enjoy a production put on by the cruise staff or drop by the casino where you can try your luck at one of the tables or slot machines you will find there. Catch a Vegas style revue on one of the nights of your trip. There are two of these on a voyage. You might want to see the variety acts that are shown as a welcome on board evening and the shore excursions a very exciting experience.

Enjoy one of the two pools you’ll find here for adults as well as a children’s swimming pool. There are sun decks around each pool so you can soak up the rays. There are also two whirlpools to relax in as you sail the high seas. The Spa will take care of any needs you may have with a full slate of treatment options. You will also find equipment to help you keep fit during your trip as well as a jogging track on the Lido Deck plus a mini golf course and a golf pro.

The array of programs run at Camp Carnival should keep the kids entertained for many hours whether they are young or old. If you want to be on your own during the night, there is group babysitting available. There are two formal nights when you’re expected to wear a suit, but other than this the dress code is casual. Tips of $10.00 per day per person will be charged to your ship account.
