If you are looking for a cruise on a small all-suite ship, then Seabourn Legend is the one you need. This ship carries a total of 208 passengers and is luxury personified. Personal escort through check in and an abundance of space, you will feel as if you are cruising on your own private yacht. There is open seating so you can choose when and with whom you dine or if your prefer to dine alone, you can enjoy the ocean view from your suite. This is not a cruise designed for children as there are no kids’ programs provided. However, with the long list of destinations to which it sails, you can choose the cruise of your dreams.
Accommodations
On the Seabourn Legend there are only 104 suites, 40 of which have balconies. Some of these suites have sliding glass doors leading to the balcony and all of them are quite roomy, especially the six classic and owners’ suites. Each one boasts a walk-in closet and a spacious marble bathroom containing a tub and shower. Hair dryers, teryy-towel robes and slippers are provided. You won’t have any difficulty moving about the room or even resting with the cocktail tables, TV and DVD, and twin beds that easily convert to a queen. The cocktail tables can be raised if you wish to dine in your room.
Dining
Enjoy some of the best food offered on a cruise with the chef preparing meals based on the fresh and local cuisine of the port of call. There is a wide variety in the choices offered on the menu, which includes choices for vegetarian passengers or those on a diet as well. If you wish to have something different, the chef will prepare it for you, if he has the necessary ingredients. Dine outdoors at the Veranda Café or choose the alternative restaurant on the ship – The Bistro. All three meals are available in the restaurants and there is a daily afternoon tea served in the Horizon Lounge.
Entertainment
For your entertainment, the Seabourn Legend has a variety of bars and lounges, a full-service spa, a pool, whirlpools and a fitness center. Jog around the track, take part in daily games and contests or enjoy the cabaret style acts of singers, comedians and other performances. Take in a lecture at the Amundsen Lounge, check your email at the Internet station or check out a book from the library.
This ship has a fold out water sports marina that is used when the ship is in port. Windsurfing, kayaking, banana boat racing, snorkelling and more is available for the passengers. The center of the marina sports a large mesh pool so that you are safe from the sea life of the ocean.
The fitness center on the ship has a small area for working out, an area for aerobics, a massage and steam room and a beauty salon.
This ship has more formal nights than most cruise ships – 2 or 3 during a 14 –day cruise. Gratuities are included in the cost of the cruise so you are not expected to tip the waiters or the maitre d’.
