It will take you on a cruise of a lifetime - one that will be talked about for years to come.

Dining
On the Mariner of the Seas breakfast and lunch are open seating but for dinner there is a traditional seating with set times and set tablemates. The main dining room is unique in that it spans three decks with each deck having its own name on the restaurant such as Rhapsody in Blue, Sound of Music and Top Hat and Tails. Each menu includes the traditional foods and also has a healthy fare option.
The Windjammer is open seating buffet. It is open for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner. For dinner, it carries the same menu as the main dining room. Jade’s is another option for eating. This is open seated buffet and offers Chinese, Indian and Japanese cuisine.
The Mariner of the Seas’ two alternative restaurants are Chops Grille and Portofino. Chops Grille features a steakhouse ambiance while Portofino’s is a northern Italian themed restaurant. You need reservations for these restaurants so book early. They also have a $20.00 surcharge per person but you’ll find that it is worth every penny.
Johnny Rockets is another place that you may find very intriguing. Sit inside and listen to staff songs and watch them dance while you munch on your favourite fast food. They don’t charge for the food here but they do for the drinks. You can also order food to go and there’s no extra charge. It is a unique and fun place to eat. Another place to get a quick bite is Café at the Promenade, where you can get croissants and pastries in the morning. There is also a 24 hour room service though the menu is limited.
Entertainment
This ship offers an array of activities that will make your head spin so you have some decisions to make while you’re on your cruise. During the day you can enjoy the traditional games and contests, but there are some unusual things such as rock wall climbing and the ship’s ice skating show. There are also performances along the Promenade day and night, but at night the ship shifts to the real excitement. It’s then that the lounges swing into the party mode. You can see Vegas style performances. The Wig and Gavel offers a guitarist, Bolero offers Latin music, Schooner’s Bar offers torch songs and pop songs, Ellington’s is the place for Jazz, the Lotus Lounge is the place to dance the night away and the Dragon’s Lair offers the same.
The main pool is beautiful, but it is also flanked by two adjacent pools. The solarium pool is for adults only and has two whirlpools. Visit the Ship Shape centre to take advantage of the spa and fitness equipment. There is also a beauty salon with a fine array of treatments.
This ship is truly geared with families in mind and it shows with the amount of programs that are offered for children of all ages including an area that is for teens only. The dress code is casual but you will find two formal nights during the cruise. Tipping is $3.50 per person per day for the waiter, the same for the cabin steward, 2.00 per person per day to the assistant waiter, and .75 cents per day per person to the headwaiter.
