When the Millennium joined the fleet of Celebrity in 2000, it brought a new era of big ships to the fleet. It boasts soft hues and stately public spaces, but this most beautiful of ships also carries 1059 suites from which you can choose. This ship is a cruise dream for anyone that steps aboard. It will be the cruise of a lifetime with the crew of 999 at you beck and call and 11 decks of this magnificent ship to explore between ports. Don’t overlook the pool that this ship holds. In addition you will find a steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, and fitness centre that will help keep you fit on your journey.
Accommodations
There are 42 suites with balconies, 8 suites with no balconies, 576 with balconies and beautiful ocean views, 227 with no balconies and 206 inside suites. Choose from the upper deck penthouse which boasts 1690 square feet and has everything you could want including a butler to the less expensive suite in an inside suite.
These suites are so tastefully decorated that even the smallest of the cabins, which has 170 square feet, will please you with the calming ambiance of the room. These rooms come with phone, TV with in house movies as well as movie stations, a safe and an interactive TV on which you can check your account and gamble at the casino if you feel like it.
The Concierge rooms are about a foot longer than the standard staterooms. If you have a room with a balcony, it adds about 41 more square feet to your space. The staterooms have added luxuries, such as throw pillows, several closets for hanging clothes, and room on the nightstands for all the little things you need before retiring for the night.
All staterooms are equipped with a mini bar, fridge, a safe, telephone, an interactive television from which you can order room service, check your daily balance or just watch TV, which has a great selection of channels.
Dining
Dining on this ship is a food lover’s delight. You will find that the Olympic Restaurant offers a fine array of dining from the perfectly prepared and beautifully served foods that are offered on a daily basis. The Millennium sports five dining areas.
The Metropolitan is located in the aft of the ship and is the main restaurant on this ship. The view through the glass that surrounds this wonderful place is breathtaking while you dine on superb food. The décor is a mixture of contemporary and Art Deco which leaves the room lovely and very elegant.
Another alternative is the Spa Café, which is located at the Aqua Spa. Here you will find light healthy meals being served for your pleasure. The Resort deck also has a restaurant that can be enjoyed by many. For quick snacks or a sit down meal, the Ocean Grill and the Riveria Grill is just the thing your looking for. Wherever you decide to eat on this floating dream, you will be well pleased with the food and especially with the way it is served.
Entertainment
With all the ports of call you’ll be visiting on this ship you probably won’t find much time for onboard activities, but when you do get the time you can be sure there will be lots of things to keep you occupied. You will be entertained by the Celebrity Singers and Dancers, you can take Tango, Meringue, swing, line and ballroom dancing lessons so you will be ready to hit the dance floor. Take in a movie at the theatre that this ship has or if you want something livelier then try the nightly Karaoke.
You can also enjoy the gigantic shopping area that the Millennium offers in the form of the Emporium. Here you will not only find duty free shops, but also jewellery and plenty of logo shops. So if you have forgotten to bring something this is the place that can see to your needs.
There are a vast array of board games to be enjoyed, but from your busy days you will probably want to just laze around after the evening meal and get some shut eye to be ready for your next day’s excursions.
