Navigator of the Seas Description

Navigator of the Seas

If you take a cruise on the Navigator of the Seas, you will wish you had booked two in a row with the amount of things that this ship offers both to see and do. This ship has everything you would expect and lots of things that you wouldn’t like a ice skating rink and rock climbing wall. This will definitely be an experience of a lifetime and she’s waiting your arrival. This ship has more glass than any other, which offers you some beautiful sights as you sail along. With its 15 passenger decks for you to explore with something new around every corner and it’s crew of 1185 waiting to pamper you silly, it is sure to make some lasting memories.

Accommodations

Navigator carries 1557 accommodations for her passengers of which 119 are Suites with balconies, 588 with an ocean view as well as balconies, 232 with no balconies but an ocean view, 618 inside cabins and 138 inside cabins with an atrium view. The balconies on this ship are slightly larger than on any of her sister ships. Out of the 618 inside cabins 138 offer a Promenade view.

All Staterooms have queen size beds that convert to twin. They also feature a mini bar, hair dryer, television with satellite programming options and your own thermostat. If you bring your lap top you will find Internet connections in every cabin, but there is a fee of $100.00 for a seven day cruise. There are many categories of suites right up to the Royal Suite where you lay in the lap of luxury such as a king size bed private balcony, hot tub, a large bathroom and whirlpool, a living room with a sofa, a wet bar, a dining table, an entertainment centre and a baby Grand piano.

Entertainment

You are in for the time of your life with the options offered in entertainment on this ship. You can start out with Broadway style productions such as Now and Forever featuring the 14 Royal singers and dancers which is presented in the 1350 seating Metropolis Theatre or take in an ice extravaganza in Studio B. The Schooner Bar offers a pianist while Boleros offers Latin Jazz. The Lxtapa Lounge offers karaoke and themed night parties. Visit the Two Poets Pub for a pint or two or if this is not your thing, then drop into the Champagne Bar for a sip of the bubbly. There’s jazz offered at the Cosmopolitan Club in the Viking Lounge and the Dungeon offers disco. This two story disco bar’s décor is that of Medieval Europe.

You will absolutely love the décor of the Solarium with a pool fountain, two Jacuzzi’s and all the view you can possible see from this ship. The Ship Shape Centre offers loads of exercise equipment which you will love and it also provides stereo and television to keep you entertained while you work out. The Ship Shape Spa is the capital R in relaxation as you will find out as soon as you go through their door. There is also a jogging track, an outdoor sports deck that has mini golf as well as a golf simulator, a full court for basket, volley and paddle ball, an inline skating track plus a rock climbing wall.

This is one ship that welcomes families with kids and the amount of programming they have in place shows it. There is something for every age and lots to keep kids busy on the cruise.

There are two formal nights when a dark suit with tie and evening dress would be preferred but the rest of the time is country club casual. Tipping is $3.50 per day per person for the dining room waiter, the same for the cabin steward,$2.00 per day per person for the assistant waiter and .75 cents per day per person for the head waiter. All bar bills have a 15 percent tipping charge.
