The Norwegian Majesty has many wonderful changes after her new facelift in 1999.She now sports a new 112 feet of mid section plus two new restaurants. The renovations added 203 more passenger cabins, 33 crew cabins, another swimming pool, two whirlpool spas, a new deck bar, a coffee bar, a new casino, two new elevators and a new stair tower. Additional glass was added to the sun deck and this does not include the refurbishing of all the cabins and much more.
This ship is ready to take you on a cruise of a lifetime and sail you into unforgettable memories for you and your family. With a crew of 660 waiting to pamper you and 9 decks to explore each with their own surprises, you will have a voyage that will leave you breathless.
Accommodations
On this ship you will find 10 categories to choose from in accommodations. Each one has it’s own advantages such as inside cabins measure 140 square feet, two lower beds that convert to a queen when necessary, a small bathroom with shower, hair dryer, your own thermostat, duvet, TV and radio. The standard outside cabins measure 152 square feet while the deluxe suites measure 176 square feet.
Owners suites offer a separate living room, a bedroom with a picture window, fridge, stereo with CD library, and a tub and shower. One drawback is there are no balconies on this ship, but you’ll be so busy you probably won’t even miss it. Some cabins have obstructed views while other have partially obstructed views.
Dining
The food is wonderful, the service is prompt and the views are outstanding. This ship has three main dining rooms. The Four Seasons seats 260 passengers, the Seven Seas seats 636 and Le Bistro is reservation only and seats 78. They all offer open seating for lunch and breakfast and for dinner you can find seating for two, four, six or eight. The Café Royal offers breakfast , lunch and afternoon snacks, but the seating of 112 is limited. There is also a poolside snack bar that comes in handy if you want to continue swimming after eating. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
Entertainment
Take in a production at Smokey Joe’s Café featuring such hits as Hound Dog or On Broadway. Dance the night away at the Frame 52 Disco or try the Winner’s Circle Casino, where you can take a chance with lady luck and come out a winner whether you win or lose.
If you want to stay fit during the voyage, there are two fitness rooms available with exercise equipment in each of them. You can pass your time at the golf driving net, shuffleboard or ping pong. You will also find Jacuzzis and steam baths, saunas and swimming pools and a smaller Splash Pool for the kids. Majesty also offers a Kids Crew Program that will keep from little ones to teenagers busy and group babysitting is available. On this ship resort casual will do it for your dress code, except on the formal night. Tips are $10.50 a day per person.
