Norwegian Wind

The Norwegian Wind offers cruises for all ages and enough activities to keep all ages busy. This beautiful ship will sail you into the sunset and give you memories that will last forever. This is a voyage you will talk about long after you return home. The Wind offers a casual and relaxing holiday, where you leave all your worries behind and step into their world. You will love exploring the 10 passenger decks that this ship has, with excitement on everyone of them. There is a crew of 700 that will do all they can to make this a spectacular journey.

Accommodations

There are a total of 865 accommodations on this ship. Of these, there are 12 suites with balconies, 6 suites with no balconies, 62 with ocean views and balconies, 615 with ocean views and no balconies and a 170 inside cabins. They are all attractively furnished with two lower beds that convert to a queen if necessary. They include a small bathroom with a shower, your own thermostat, a duvet, hairdryer, TV and radio. Inside cabins measure 140 square feet, standard outside cabins measure 152 square feet, and the deluxe Suites are 176 square feet. If you choose an Owner’s Suite, you will get the added convenience of a living room and separate bedroom, a picture window and other amenities. If you choose the Penthouse, you will get concierge service.

Dining

The Wind offers three main dining rooms - the Sun Terraces which seats 234, the Terraces, which seats 308 and the Four Seasons, which seats 452. All of these restaurants offer excellent food as well as excellent service. You can chose seating for two, four, six and eight. It is your choice and you can choose who you dine with each night. You may find the port sides best for the best view.

Le Bistro is a reservation only restaurant and seats only 78. This restaurant serves Italian food. All of these restaurants serve breakfast as well as lunch. The Sports Bar serves buffet breakfast, lunch and a tea time snack. There is also a poolside snack bar and pizzeria for you to enjoy. Wind also offers 24 hour room service.

Entertainment

This is where this ship excels with the entertainment it has to offer its passengers. Visiting Smokey Joe’s Café to take in one of the wonderful productions is a must. Dance the night away at Dazzles Disco and watch the sunrise in the morning. The Sports Bar and Grill offers drinks as well as the opportunity to watch your favourite sports on TV. For an evening of entertainment, try your luck at the Monte Carlo Casino. There are many kinds of tables as well as a good variety of slot machines. The Stardust Lounge offers many productions, such as Sea Legs Circus at Sea, which stars Olympians from around the world.

The main swimming pool has a multi-level sun deck. Plus, there is another outside pool to enjoy. Visit the Steiner Spa, where you can have the opportunity to keep fit on your voyage and take advantage of the state of the art equipment you will find there. You will also find two Jacuzzis, a jogging track and much more awaits you.

Wind entertains families very well with the programs run on a daily basis to keep the kids busy. They feature eight different children’s programs and babysitting is available for a fee, so all can enjoy the cruise.

There is casual dress code at all times, except for the two formal nights that you will have to dress to the hilt or at least somewhat formal. $10.50 a day per person will take care of all the tipping and the rest is just fun, fun, fun.
