Pacific Princess Description

Pacific Princess

The Pacific Princess is absolutely gorgeous as you will find out as soon as you board and start exploring her 9 passenger decks. She’s waiting to take you on the cruise of a lifetime. The crew of 373 is waiting for your arrival so they can show you what a cruise is supposed to be. This is a floating hotel with all the elegance and comfort that you would expect and more. You’re in for absolute relaxation. You are in for things from dining traditions to entertainment programs, plus you get the intimacy that only a smaller cruise ship can give.

Accommodations

Pacific Princess only has 334 accommodations of which 62 are Suites with balconies, 170 with balconies and an ocean view, 76 with an ocean view but no balconies and 26 inside cabins. Staterooms measure from 156 square feet to an Owners Suite that measures 962 square feet. You will find that they are comfortable and cozy and the bathrooms have ample shower rooms whereas the mini suites and bigger have tubs. There is a television in each cabin with a good selection of channels. The balconies on this ship are wrought iron so there is no glass to spoil your view.

Dining

Meals on this ship are available 24 hours a day. There are two main dining rooms. The Panorama Buffet starts with a buffet breakfast and continues into lunch and also dinner. Then it becomes a pizzeria for the rest of the evening.. The other restaurant is The Club which is traditional seating at designated dinner hours. The tables for two are in high demand, so you have to be there early enough to catch one of these.

There are two alternative restaurants. One of these is the Sterling Steakhouse , where you can get some delicious steaks as well as other foods. However, it is wise to book in advance for this restaurant as it is pretty popular even with it’s $15.00 surcharge, which is well worth the money when you can get carved at the table Prime Rib. The second choice is Sabatini’s, which is a Italian restaurant with food delights that will melt in your mouth, but this restaurant also carries a surcharge.

Entertainment

Though the Pacific Princess is a smaller ship than some that are on the seas ,it certainly is big in entertainment. You will find plenty to do both day and night. During the day you will find the usual things such as bingo, shuffleboard, ping pong and golf putting, but you will also find craft workshops, as well as cooking demos.

In the evening, treat yourself to some guitar or piano music at the Club or the Casino. You can also drop into the Cabaret Lounge that offers a range of production shows to a magician or a comedy show. Then there is the Nightclub where you can dance the night away.

The pool features a pool area that is hugged by two whirlpools. Here there are some comfy lounge chairs that you can catch some rays in. Right by the pool you will also find a ping pong table.

A visit to the Spa is a must if you’re truly looking for relaxation. There are four treatment rooms to accommodate the guests which includes steam rooms. Outside you will find a thalassotherapy pool and sun deck, but there is a $15.00 surcharge to use this. You will also find the beauty salon elegant and very peaceful. There is also a fitness centre that is adequately equipped to handle anything you may need to keep in shape during your trip.

This ship is not family orientated, so it may not be a good cruise for young kids. The staff will go out of their way to keep children busy with activities while they sail on board with a few programs for them.

There are two formal nights on a ten day cruise for which resort casual formal will do very well. The rest of the trip will be resort casual. There is a $10.00 per person per day tipping fee, but you can tip any time you want besides the fee
