Once upon a time Paradise was Carnival’s only non smoking ship, but this was abandoned a few years ago. Although there are fewer places to smoke, there are still some places left. It is still as clean and sparkly as it always was. A cruise on this ship is packed with tons of activities onboard that will keep you busy, great food to keep your tummy filled, wonderful pools to swim in, sun decks to catch the rays and all the entertainment you can handle. The crew of 920 will make sure you’re taken care of and kept happy on your journey. Spend some time exploring the 10 decks of this ship, where you’ll find surprises at each turn you make.
Accommodations
Paradise offers 1026 accommodations and of these 54 are suites with balconies,564 with no balconies, but have an ocean view and 408 inside cabins, which gives you lots of choices to suit your taste and your pocket book. Standard cabins measure 185 square feet, These cabins are not exactly for cocooning, but they have ample space for the traveling you’re doing. This si especially true if you want to get out and enjoy all that the ship has to offer. When you do return to your cabin, you will find very comfortable beds complete with duvets with fluffy pillows.
Each cabin has a spacious closet as well as drawer space. A small desk and a stool is in the cabin, twin beds that converts to a queen, a 19 inch television with three networks, a small round coffee table and a small chair. One corner of the cabin has a built in storage space for extra blankets and life jackets. Bathrooms are also roomy with spacious showers. The tiles in the bathroom adds a touch of elegance.
The Suites are furnished with a bar, large sofa and a whirlpool and some of these rooms are handicap accessible. The ones with verandas are deep and wide and perfect for relaxing. These have a little less closet space, but not much difference in the size. There are the same amenities with each cabin.
Entertainment
The production shows take place in the main theatre called the Normandie Lounge, which is superb. Paradise also features 10 lounges and bars, where you can kick up your heels and really enjoy the evening.
You can drop into the casino and try your luck at the tables or slot machines. The American Bar’s sing along is always a big hit with the passengers as is the Queen Mary Lounge, where you can find some hokey karaoke. If you would like to dance until dawn, then drop by the Rex Disco with it’s beat heavy music.
There is also a comedy show with the early one being for families and the later one being definitely adult only, but both are fun and entertaining. Daytime activities are awesome for both adults and children and there are many children’s programs run by the staff. There is also group babysitting available.
You will really enjoy the pools on this ship along with the whirlpools and hot pools. The Nautica Spa will take care of any stresses that may be still lingering by giving you a massage after which you can enjoy the exercise machines at the fitness centre. Then there is a beauty salon to make you feel like a princess again.
The dress code is casual during the day with resort casual at night and with one formal night per cruise. The tipping fee is $10.00 per person per day but if you have a delivery to your cabin your expected to tip there.
