The Ryndam is one ship that has elegance at every turn and you get to explore each and every passenger deck that holds the beautiful décor. This starts from the time you come onboard with the awesome three story feature of a monumental fountain. With a passenger capacity of 1258 and 602 crew members to see to your every need, this will truly be a cruise that goes down in history. You will see artifacts from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. You are in for a cruise that will take you into a world of luxury so get ready to be pampered like never before.
Accommodations
The Ryndam offers its passengers a choice of accommodations starting with the Penthouse Veranda Suites which offer a king size bed in its own room. There is an oversized whirlpool bath and shower, a living room, a dining room, a dressing room, a private veranda, a pantry, a sofa bed that accommodates two people, a mini bar, a fridge, a guest toilet and floor to ceiling windows with a view that is priceless. This beautiful retreat measures 1159 square feet. The Deluxe Veranda Suites offers 2 lower beds that convert to a king size bed, a whirlpool bath and shower, a large sitting area, a dressing room and all that the Penthouse has to offer except the space which measures 556 square feet. Veranda Suites have two lower beds that converts to a queen and measures 292 square feet. The large Outside Staterooms have the same, but there is no floor to ceiling window and they only have a partial view of the ocean through a porthole. This room measures 197 square feet. The large Inside Staterooms have no view at all, but they do offer a queen size bed and measures, 182 square feet.
Dining
If you’re hoping for an exquisite meal and a fine extensive wine list, then you will find it here. Rotterdam Dining Room welcomes you with the chime master in the evening. This is the beginning of the experience in dining that won’t be soon forgotten. They offer a five course meal with the wine of your choice. You will find the service as impeccable as the food that is served. You can choose from continental cuisine to vegetarian and low carb.
The Pinnacle Grill is the place to go for that special evening with its romantic décor and fine food. It’s a combination that will be a winner. This is elegant, sophisticated dining. It is where you taste the ultimate beef, inspired seafood dishes and so much more with china and silverware that compares to none. The Lido Restaurant offers a more relaxed atmosphere for all three meals of the day. Here you will get fresh and cooked to order foods that will delight you. The Terrace Grill is about as relaxed as you get on this ship. It is found on the pool deck and is great for the kids or someone looking for a quick snack. You will find such things as burgers, hot dogs and tacos served here.
Entertainment
If you’re an avid shopper there is no need to be deprived on this ship with all the duty free shops you’ll find here. If you’re looking for an afternoon of peace and quiet, take a visit to the Delft Library where the selection of books is tremendous. Visit the Culinary Arts Centre where you can create your own masterpiece with the help of one of the Holland America chefs. Explorations Café gives you a very comfortable living room type feeling where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while reading the daily paper. From here you can also use the internet.
The Greenhouse Treatment Room is the ultimate in relaxation so let yourself be pampered. Here you’ll find thermal suites and steam rooms and most of all gentle hands that will make you so relaxed you will float away from all stress. The Fitness Centre also has enough equipment to handle your needs in exercising. This state of the art fitness centre is just waiting for you.
The Crow’s Nest will fill your evenings with excitement and fun as it comes alive at night for those of you that love music and dancing while during the day it gives you breathtaking views of the ocean.
This ship is ready for the kids that accompany you on your voyage with several different rooms that are used according to age such as the Loft for teens, which is a perfect getaway for some of those that think they are grown up. The Oasis is also another place that teens can hang out, but there are places for all children of any age to make an unforgettable voyage for them as well as for yourself.
