Sapphire Princess Description

Sapphire Princess

The Sapphire Princess stands along side of the biggest ship in this fleet and you will be delighted with what this ship has to offer in a cruise.. It will be like stepping into a whole new world and one that’s filled with excitement around every turn of her 14 decks. This ship offers a unique mixture of Personal Choice Dining and traditional dining that will satisfy everyone. It is wonderfully suited to kids and adults alike and with a crew of 1100 you will not wait for anything. They are there to please and that is exactly what they do.

Accommodations

The outside cabins on this ship are very affordable. The ship carries a total of 1337 accommodations for its passengers which gives you lots to choose from. Of these 1337 216 are suites with balconies, 532 with balconies and an ocean view, 212 with an ocean view but no balconies and 377 inside cabins. Standard inside cabins measure 168 square feet. They have lots of closet space, bathrooms with showers, a queen bed that turns into twins, a side table for room service, a small fridge, a safe, a desk area and television with a remote.

The standard outside cabins include the same things, but with these you also get the view. Mini suites include all of the things that come with a cabin and are very spacious. Suites come with a whirlpool and tub and the Grand Suite measures in at 1329 square feet with a separate dining room and a personal computer. There are also two family connecting suites on this ship.

Dining

This is one ship where the options for dining are endless. If you chose Personal Choice Dining, you have four restaurants to chose from all of which serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. With the choice of eating when you want to, you do have to be careful as they fill up fast so maybe reservations would be better in these dining rooms. If it’s a specialty dining room you’re looking for, then try the Santa Fe, Pacific Moon or the Vavaldi. You can also visit what used to be the Sterling Steakhouse, but is now called the Savoy. This venue carries a $15.00 surcharge, but it is well worth it with the foods they serve.

The Trattoria Sabatini is not to be missed on this trip even with it’s $20.00 per person surcharge. It is a must in dining experience. If you’re looking for real casual dining, then Horizon Court will certainly take care of your needs. It is open around the clock and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prego is a popular poolside pizzeria along with Trident Grill where you can find burgers and fries. There is also 24 hour room service.

Entertainment

The Sapphire princess comes alive at night and the days will also keep you very busy if you’re so inclined. The Princess Theatre offers Broadway style productions and comedy shows. Club Fusion is another place that is hopping with its 42 in high-definition screens and after this you can drop into Skywalker’s for an evening of dancing. Drop into the Grand Casino, where the ambiance is a mixture of Vegas glitz and Far East glamour. Sapphire offers line dancing, art auctions and other things like cooking demos that will keep you occupied during the day. There are five pools to chose from and this includes a kids splash pool and an adult only fitness pool. The Lotus Spa will take care of all your massage needs and you can keep fit at the high tech fitness centre. There is also a beauty salon.

The kids will love the programs that this ship . They will surely keep them busy with the Fun Zone and many more activities that take place. There is also group babysitting for those that need it.

During a seven day cruise you can expect two formal nights. The clothing is dresses or gowns for women and suit and tie or tux for men for these affairs, but during the day it is resort casual. There is a $10.00 tipping fee for each cabin per day and this covers everything but the bar tab where 15 percent is applied.
