The Summit is the third of Millennium’s series of ships and as the saying goes “the third time is a “ and that is exactly what this beautiful ship is. It offers elegance, excitement and fun for everyone that goes on board. The Summit boasts exterior glass elevators that give you breathtaking views. You will have a wonderful time exploring the 11 passenger decks that you will find on this ship and your choices of suites is endless with this ship sporting 1059 suites.
Accommodations
There are 42 suites with balconies, 8 suites with no balconies, 576 with a balcony and an ocean view, 227 with no balconies but they do have an ocean view and 206 inside suites. You will certainly find one of them to make your trip the best it can be during your cruise. Having a crew of 999 onboard waiting to tend to your every need will certainly be a plus to anyone that takes this cruise ship.
Suite amenities include a butler service, welcome champagne, personalized stationary, a tote bag, check in and disembarking and when you request it, you can get a computer with a printer for your use. It is impossible not to enjoy a ship such as this. It will transport you to a world of your own as soon as you go onboard.
The deluxe ocean view staterooms with verandas are an excellent value with their 38 square foot balconies. There are 2 convertible beds, floor to ceiling glass doors that open onto the balconies and some come with sitting sofas. You can choose the Sky Suites that measure 257 square feet plus 57 square feet of veranda to the Penthouse that measures 1432 square feet with a 1098 square foot veranda. Whatever your budget the Summit has something to suit your needs.
In the lower priced categories of interior staterooms, you will find a comfortable 170 square feet with a sitting area to see all the breathtaking scenery when you are going into port.
Dining
Delight your taste buds with foods you never experienced before as you sail into the sunset by dining at the two level Cosmopolitan Restaurant. This Restaurant features a sophisticated décor accented by La Normandie. The dining room has a sweeping staircase that will give you a Cinderella feeling as you descend it. This dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and evening dining with traditional breakfast, as well as some breakfast delights. For supper, try their Chateaubriand carved right at your table or maybe your taste will go for the delicious smoked salmon. Whatever you choose, it will be a diner’s delight.
You will also find an extensive children’s menu as well as a health food or vegetarian menu for those of us that have the power to say no to meat. You will find the service just as warm as the food that you’re served by the staff .
The Normandie Restaurant holds memorabilia from the legendary transatlantic liner besides the delicious food that’s served there. The Waterfall Café and Grill is another alternative of places to eat, but wherever you choose to eat you tummy will thank you for it.
Entertainment
On this wonderful ship you can find things to do between ports of call such as take in a movie or take in a variety show or production at the Celebrity Theatre which has excellent sidelines. Try the Rendezvous Lounge and listen to the duo that performs there.
Cova Café will let you hear harpist or a string trio and if this is not to your taste then you can let loose at Revelations, where you can dance until the sun comes up and enjoy the breathtaking scenery that it gives you.
Don’t forget for daytime entertainment you will find all sorts of games and contests around the ship. So go exploring and find something you like. It’s all there waiting for you to come onboard and enjoy what the Summit has to offer. You won’t be disappointed.
