Take a cruise on the largest ship of the Thomson line when you choose Thomson Destiny. With plenty of space to move around, you won’t even realize that you are cruising with 1450 other passengers. The crew of 540 will pamper you and let you let go of all your stress. There are 11 decks to explore and with elevators, you won’t have to climb any stairs to do so. This ship is designed for families with a wealth of activities for children to keep them from complaining about boredom. The teenagers will love the video arcade just as much as you will. Two pools provide the waters you need for swimming and the space for sunbathing and there is a wading pool for the little ones.
Accommodations
Choose a spacious Grand Suite with a king size bed, a lounge area with a sofa, large walk-in closets and so much more. This is the top of the line, but there are cheaper accommodations available designed to suit your taste and budget. Choose a suite, which is only slightly smaller than the Grand Suite, a deluxe suite or a standard inside or outside cabin. The standard cabins have two beds placed in an L-shape, but there are also three and four-berth cabins to accommodate larger parties. The cabins are air-conditioned, have large wardrobes and an ensuite with a shower. There is also a music system, color TV and a safe in each room. The outside cabins have either a picture window or a porthole so you can enjoy the view.
Dining
Dine at the Seven Seas Restaurant with waiter service for all three meals. At breakfast you can also choose foods from the buffet, if you wish. Although there is set seating for dinner, you can sit wherever you wish for breakfast and lunch. You will have to request an early or late sitting when you make your booking. This restaurant is also the venue for the Gala night and the Captain’s Cocktail Party.
If you want alternative choices in dining, then Thomson Destiny can accommodate you here as well. The Lido Restaurant features buffet 24 hours a day with a large selection of dishes to choose from. On the pool deck, there are BBQ’s at lunchtime and room service is available 24 hours a day.
Entertainment
Broadway shows and comedy acts are there for your enjoyment at the Can Can Lounge and the Oklahoma Lounge features live bands, karaoke and late night disco. Enjoy the party games on the Lido Deck, as well as the live music and stunning cabarets. If you feel lucky, you can spend some time at the Casino Royale.
For drinks before dinner, relax in the Clipper bar as you listen to the strains of the piano. The Sky Bar is located at the very top of the ship and this is the place from which you can take in the spectacular views. The comfy sofas of Blake’s bar will make it hard for you to leave, even to go to your cabin and if you want to take in the open air, then have a drink at the Lido and Mast Bars.
Keep in shape at the gym, get your hair done or relax with a massage. The sports deck offers badminton, basketball and tennis and there are a range of gift shops for the die-hard shoppers.
