The Thomson Spirit is the perfect ship to choose for a cruise to the Baltic. With a wide range of itineraries to choose from, you can book a cruise between April and October on this ship and have the time of your life. Everything is tailored to your individual taste and style in cruising. Elevators take you to the 9 decks for exploring so you won’t have to bother with taking the stairs although it would give you a workout. There are two pools, three restaurants and five bars so there is plenty of space for the 1250 passengers that this ship can accommodate. The Kidzone will keep the children occupied giving the parents time to themselves.
Accommodations
Choose from suites, deluxe cabins or standard inside or outside cabins when you book a cruise on the Thomson Spirit. The Presidential Suite is the ultimate in luxury with lots of space – the size of two standard cabins. This suite has two bathrooms and amenities that will make you feel as if you are staying in a five-star hotel. The regular suites are also spacious and have king size beds, a separate living room with a sofa, and two full-length wardrobes. The ensuite bathroom has both a tub and a shower. Bathrobes and hair dryers are provided and each suite has a safe, a mini-bar and a color TV.
The deluxe and standard cabins have either a queen size bed or two single beds, so you can make your choice when you book the cruise. There are also four berth cabins with twin beds and upper berths that fold down. In the deluxe cabins there is also a rollaway bed to accommodate another person in your party. The cabins are spacious with plenty of closet space, ensuite bathrooms and the bathrobes and hair dryers are included.
Dining
Dine at the Compass Rose for all of your meals. A six-course dinner awaits you in the evening and the beauty of this restaurant is its open seating. Sit where and with whom you wish for stimulating dinner conversation or choose a table just for two. Make your reservations early to dine at Sirocco’s for a meal fit for royalty. There is a cover charge at this restaurant, but it is well worth it. At the weekly Captain’s Cocktail Party or the Gala Dinner, you will have assigned seating, but you can choose an early or late sitting.
If you prefer something a little more casual, the Lido Restaurant features buffet style dining 24 hours a day. This restaurant also has International Theme nights twice a week, giving you the chance to sample foods from different parts of the world. For a lunchtime BBQ, salads, or grilled food, try the selection at the Terrace Grill. The Buffet Magnifique is a weekly event where you can taste specialty dishes and designer ice cream. Room service is also available 24 hours a day.
Entertainment
With its Broadway shows and top UK comedians on stage, the Broadway Show Lounge is sure to be one place you want to visit on the cruise. If you like live music and want to engage in dancing, then Horizons and Explorers will give you the music you need. Try your luck at Raffles Casino or the game shows and disco at High Spirits. Movie lovers will surely want to see some of the movies shown every day at the Cinema.
During the day, you can enjoy some quiet time in the reading room or engage in a game of cards in the card room. There is a spa on the ship, where you can indulge in pampering, massages and various treatments designed to relieve you of your stress. Play basketball, football or table tennis on the sports deck and if you wish to keep in touch with home, there is an Internet lounge.
There are designated smoking areas on the ship, but all the restaurants are non-smoking.
