If you sailed the Voyager of the Seas when she was launched in 1999, then you already know the innovative new things that she offers such as a skating rink, a rock climbing wall, an inline skating track and other features. You will be happy to know that this ship still has all these features and after a facelift she came out looking like new and can give you the cruise of your dreams. It will give you an unforgettable experience in cruising and she waiting for your arrival. Explore the 14 decks where you see new things at every turn and combined with a crew of 1196 members to spoil you rotten during your voyage you will be assured of a great time.
Accommodations
Voyager carries a total of 1557 accommodations for her passengers of which 119 are suites with balconies, 588 with balconies and an ocean view, 232 with no balconies and an ocean view, 618 inside cabins and 138 inside atrium view. The cabins are super comfortable and if you have to spend time there you will do it in comfort. All staterooms have queen size beds that convert to twin, a private bath, a phone, an interactive TV, a mini bar, a hair dryer and your own control for air conditioning. All cabins have a shower enclosure opposed to shower curtain.
The Royal Family Suite with a balcony can hold eight people and has two bedrooms, with queen beds that covert to twin, two bathrooms, and a living area with a sofa bed. The most luxurious suite is the Royal Suite, which offers a separate bedroom with a king size bed. The living room has a sofa bed, private balcony with a hot tub, a whirlpool bath, a wet bar, a dining table for those intimate dining evenings, an entertainment centre and to top all of this of is a Baby Grand piano.
Dining
There are three main dining rooms on the Voyager. They are the Carmen, La Boheme and the Magic Flute. You will see a crystal chandelier that will leave you breathless as well as a grand staircase. The food is excellent as well as the service you receive in each of these dining rooms.
An alternative restaurant is Portofino, which is Italian. Here you will pay a $20.00 surcharge but you’ll soon find that it is worth every penny. The food is delicious and the service is unbeatable. Johnny Rockets is a 50’s type diner that you may find interesting. There is a $3.95 surcharge to eat here, but the experience is worth it as you can step back in time to the days of the jukebox, while you dine on burgers and fries or hot dogs. Windjammers offers a buffet and also a panoramic ocean view. There is a 24 hour room service with a breakfast menu and other items that can be ordered.
Entertainment
The La Scale Theatre is a state of the art theatre as you will see when you enter this gorgeous room. Besides its décor the sightlines in this theatre is unbelievable. Here you will see excellent Broadway-style shows and the ice skating show is not to be missed.
The Vault will keep you dancing to the wee hours of the morning. This is a two level dance club with a futuristic theme. At High Notes you will find a quartet playing cool jazz until the early morning. A classic trio performs in the main dining room as well as the piano bar. Scoreboard will give you all the sports on TV that you can handle and the 19th Hole has a satellite TV.
There is so much happening on this ship that you’ll have a hard time deciding what to do first such as ice skating, roller blade on the inline track, basketball, volleyball or paddleball, climb a 200 foot wall for the workout of your life, miniature golf, a golf simulator, three pools, six whirlpools, and a jogging track.
The Ship Shape Centre and Day Spa offers 14 treatment rooms, a full service beauty salon, an ocean view work out area and all the equipment you will need to stay fit during your trip.
Voyager welcomes families with children and this can be seen in the amount of programs they have in place to keep them super busy during the cruise. There is group babysitting and private for a fee.
The dress code on this fabulous ship is $3.50 per person per day for the dining room waiter and the cabin steward, $2.00 per person per day for the assistant waiter and seventy five cents per person per day for the headwaiter. A 15 percent tip is added to all bar bills.
