The Westerdam will give you more of everything on your cruise with what it has to offer. This includes more staterooms with private verandas, more dining choices, more exotic destinations, more entertainment and activities and when this is combined with excellent service, hen you have the making of an unforgettable cruise that will be the talk around the dinner table for years to come. This ship caters to 1,848 passengers and carries a crew of 800 members who can’t wait to pamper you like you’ve never been pampered before.
Accommodations
This ship offers spacious suites that range from the Penthouse to inside Suites and all are tastefully decorated. The Penthouse measures a whopping 1159 square feet and you can enjoy a separate bedroom that holds a king size bed as well as a sofa in the living room that sleeps two people. You have a separate dinning room that seats six people, a bathroom with a whirlpool bath and shower, a separate guest toilet and many more amenities of which there is a spectacular view from the floor to ceiling windows.
The Deluxe Veranda doesn’t have a separate bedroom, but there is still plenty of space with a separate sitting area. It carries the same amenities as the Penthouse but measures 510 square feet. The Superior Veranda Suites offers a queen size bed that converts to two twin beds. The bathroom has a dual sink and the full size whirlpool bath and shower with an additional shower stall, it also has a private veranda and a large sitting area this suite measures389 square feet and the floor to ceiling windows.
The deluxe veranda Outside Stateroom has the same amenities as the Superior Veranda Suite but with a little less room measuring 249 square feet. The Large Outside Staterooms offer a bathtub and shower but have a partial view of the ocean and in some cases fully obstructed views. These measure 185 square feet. The Large Standard Inside rooms have a queen bed and a shower and measures 183 to 207 square feet which still gives a person lots of room to move around.
Dining
You will love the extensive wine list that this ship has to offer along with the excellence in the food that it serves. Combine this with impeccable service and you have a winner of a cruise. The main dining room on this ship is called the Vista where you will be offered a five course meal along with your choice of wine. All of this is served on the finest china which is placed on crisp white linen. You will also fine low carb foods as well as a vegetarian menu.
If you are looking for something more intimate, then the Pinnacle Grill is the place for you. Here you can be swept away by the mood of love as you fall under the spell of this romantic room with its glowing candlelight and a décor that reeks of romance. In addition to this you are in for the best meal you’ve ever had when it is served in five courses. This is the ultimate in sophisticated dining. For a little less romance, a lot in sophistication and for a little more relaxed atmosphere the Lido Restaurant will do very nicely. Start your day here with breakfast, then lunch and come back for a relaxing dinner. This restaurant offers a full menu and options for those of you that want to stick to your diet. And for a very relaxing atmosphere the Terrace Grill is the place for hot dogs, burgers and tacos.
Entertainment
The Crow’s Nest is a wonderful observatory during the day, but at night it explodes with state of the art sound and lighting as it begs you to experience the dance floor and dance until the wee hours of the morning. The casino also provides a wonderful night of entertainment with the many betting tables that it offers along with a wide variety of slot machines
The Greenhouse Spa and Beauty Salon dares you to enjoy the service that they offer. You will leave this place rejuvenated like never before. You can choose from body massages to aroma therapy and much more. Take a jog around the deck to keep yourself in shape or drop into the fitness centre where you’ll find a fine array of exercise equipment to take care of anyone’s needs.
This ship has not left out the children. The programs that are offered for the younger ones is outstanding with two places for teens to hang out which is the Loft and the Oasis.
